  1. Dear Helena
The horsetrading begins. I used to think things like this only happended in the Godfather and 1984. I must be missing out on my cynicism pills.

The revelation that the Treaty with Egypt allows people through Rafah but all supplies through Israel means there is no guarantee that they will stick to the bargain, after the whitewash is over.
The beauty of this scheme is that it is so patently crooked that the world will see through it.
    Kind regards
    Frank

  2. If pro-Israeli government groups and and anti-Israeli government groups call each other horrid names and make threats all the time, it will be harder to sit down and discuss solutions or find ways forward re the unfortunate situation in Israel and Palestine.
Seeing Israel appears to benefit from the status quo by constantly increasing the territory it occupies, then it is in the interest of pro- Israeli groups to foster hatred and discord, and discourage rational discussion.
Those of us who would like to see the pain and hatred in Israel/Palestine reduced should not respond in kind.
As the world learns more about the horrors of the Palestinians’ situation and experiences the bile and hatred of the pro-Zionist groups, support for BDS will grow.
Imagine the PR effect of 600 odd people off the aid flotilla telling their friends how the IDF behaved on the boats – and then the friends telling their friends…
